I was thinking about Lewis and Clark, and remembering the stories of the first Europeans to enter Yellowstone, and I got the idea for this painting.
Or, after having to give away my paintings with big mountains and large waterfalls, I decided to paint a big mountain and a big waterfall. You decide which story is better.
